Senior Scientific Consultant
Job Objectives:
To perform training and pre-sales activities based on Pharsight’s software
products and associated PK/PD scientific expertise to ensure that (a) Pharsight customers are
knowledgeable about the use of Pharsight software products, how best to apply them, and how to
interpret the results generated from their application and (b) company financial goals are met.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct training sessions in the use and application of Pharsight software
- Prepare and update training materials (e.g. software applications, PowerPoint slides, online (web-based materials), testing and trouble-shooting training exercises) for existing
courses as well as for courses designed to support new software products - Support software product sales by providing pre-sales software demonstrations to
customers - Answer customer support and work flow development questions as appropriate
- Provide feedback from training activities to other Pharsight departments as appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for
successful performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would include:
- B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a specialty area such as pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, computational science, or a related field
- Minimum two years experience in the development and delivery of training courses for scientific software and their applications
- Experience with applications of PK/PD analysis, modeling and simulation methods is desirable.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of Pharsight software and applications;
- Experienced in the design and deployment of on-line (web-based) training methods
- Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and presentation
Special Requirements:
- Percentage of travel: 40%
